Statement
UK Sustainable Investment Labels have been introduced to help investors find products that have a specific sustainability goal, although not every fund that uses sustainable criteria qualifies for these labels. Because the way it invests doesn’t exactly align with the definition used for these labels, this product doesn’t have a UK Sustainable Investment Label.
Although the Family Charities Ethical Trust Fund doesn’t have a UK Sustainable Investment label, the fund does take into consideration the top 50 UK companies who focus on operating in a more sustainable way and ensure good supply-chain labour standards.
Sustainability approach
The Index represents the 50 largest companies by market capitalisation quoted on the London Stock Exchange that can demonstrably show they are working towards the following ethical standards:
- Environmental sustainability
- Adapting to and mitigating climate change
- Countering bribery
- Upholding and supporting human rights
- Ensuring good supply-chain labour standards
The Index also avoids investment in companies involved in the production of products such as tobacco and weapons. For the full Investment Objectives and Policy, please visit onefamily.com/company-information/financial-reports
To achieve its objective the policy of the Trust is to track the Financial Times Stock Exchange ('FTSE') 4Good UK 50 Total Return Share Index ('the Index').
