Supporting our overseas customers

As a UK-based financial services provider, OneFamily only accepts new business from UK residents. However, we're aware that some of our customers have moved overseas.

If you are a OneFamily customer who has moved out of the UK, there is nothing to worry about. We'll continue to manage your policy or account just like we do for all UK customers. There might, however, be a few small differences, especially when it comes to withdrawing money from your account.

We've tried to cover any questions you might have as an overseas customer below.

We'll continue to update this page if anything changes.

Questions you might have as an overseas customer

While we do our best to manage our overseas customers' accounts just like we would if they were in the UK, you might still run into a few differences.

Here are some of the most common issues you might run into while managing your OneFamily account as an overseas customer.

Be aware of frauds and scams

It's possible that someone could try to persuade you to change your investment decisions. Fraudsters and scammers can employ different methods to encourage you to change or cash in your product. Please take care and take your time to consider any changes you want to make, particularly if the change you're making was suggested by a third party. This is even more important if you hold a pension contract with us.

If at any point you have any doubts, please seek advice or contact us before proceeding. The FCA has a dedicated consumer website with information about how to identify and avoid an investment or pension scam and what to do if you believe you may be a victim. You can access it at http://www.fca.org.uk/consumers.

Fraudsters may also try to steal your personal information. The Information Commissioner’s Office website has information about consumers’ rights and provides advice on key topics including identity theft.
